Weekly Meal Plan: 9/29-10/4

We’ve got a pretty calm week ahead: no evening work or social events and just Robbie’s ice skating on Thursday. We are going to my parents’ house for Erev Rosh Hashanah dinner on Wednesday night, but that’s family. Because Jon’s going to be away for a week from next Saturday, he offered to take both kids on Thursday evening to give me a few hours to myself rather than leaving Claire home with me, which is very much appreciated.

The name of the game for dinners this week is leftovers - we’ve got some random ingredients left from Friday’s Shabbat dinner party that I’ll use up (in creative ways, if I do say so myself) in the next couple of days.

Sunday:

couscous salad with tomatoes, cucumbers, feta, and leftover pomegranate chicken thighs

Monday:

lentil and carrot stew with labneh-marinated chicken thighs

Tuesday:

forage
kids: mac and cheese, sliced veggies

Wednesday:

Erev Rosh Hashanah dinner at my parents’ house

Thursday:

kids and Jon: McDonald’s

Friday:

venison and beef chili
