Weekly Meal Plan: 9/22-27

Last week was… a lot. We were invited to a friends’ home for Shabbat and I had to beg off - I was so overwhelmed by my workweek plus Back to School Night that I just didn’t have the bandwidth to be a good guest. Jon took the kids and they had a blast, which makes me happy, but I’m looking forward to when this crazy period is over and I can be more social.

That said, I do have two social engagements this week: an alumnae happy hour for my high school on Thursday - Jon will take the kids to Robbie’s ice skating lessons and then they’ll get McDonald’s for dinner that evening - and a dinner party on Friday. I’m supposed to be going to (attending, not staffing) a work event on Wednesday evening, though I think that’ll have to be a game time decision.

Sunday:

caramelized mushrooms and roasted honeynut squash with parmesan chicken

Monday:

lentil and pulled pork sloppy Joes

Tuesday:

tofu fried rice

Wednesday:

pulled pork with mac and cheese, sliced veggies

Thursday:

kids and Jon: McDonald’s

Friday:

Shabbat dinner party
