Workwear IRL: Gingaham Shirtdress

I was browsing Poshmark - as one does - and idly wondered what might be posted from Boden in my size. Lo: a navy gingham shirtdress! It’s A-line with a belt at the waist, but I know from owning other Boden dresses that their waists hit properly on mine, so I felt comfortable ordering this one.

It’s a touch shorter than I’d prefer and I’m going to take it to the tailor to have snaps put in between the buttons over the bust, but it fits perfectly otherwise and I love it! It was warm enough this week that I could go bare-legged, but I think I have a pair of opaque navy tights with which I can wear it now that it’s gotten cold.

It’s not available on the Boden website anymore, but I just did a quick Google search and this dress in a wide range of sizes came up on both Poshmark and eBay. I love this knit midi style from Draper James, too, if you want something slightly less structured!
