Workwear IRL: Suiting Dresses

This is my third Workwear IRL post… and my second about an eShakti dress. I wasn’t kidding when I said I have a lot of pieces from that website! Hey, I know what I like and what works for me.

I had an external meeting and a board meeting yesterday and I wanted to look polished and professional. I’d recently ordered this Cross-Hatch Suiting A-Line Dress, and the day’s schedule plus the weather were the perfect excuse for its inaugural wearing. It fit like a glove - obviously, since it’s made to measure - fully lined, and has pockets. What more could you want?

I don’t think I’ve ever had a dress made of this material and I love it. My workplace environment is relatively casual, but my colleagues all know I lean a little more formal so I don’t look out of place for my own norm, which I think is the important thing. I’m restocking my closet after a purge and have my eye on these similar pieces:
